Our last week of the "DP"

Pawsha & Koonsley don't know that they should be sad that this is their last week going to the "dp". Instead, they are just as excited as ever when those nine two words leave my mouth.

I say:
"Do you want to go to the DOG PARK?"
they hear:
"rarr, raaa, rarr, rraar, DOG PARK?
and they go crazy even though they know that...
                                       it will be sweltering hot when they jump in my car....
                                       they will have to suffer through me running errands....
                                       heads out the window just makes them hotter...
Good news is that when they press their snouts as close as they possibly can to the air conditioning vent, that's my cue to close the vent on my side and turn it up full blast!

                              Ahhhhhh, the air conditioning vents...a dog's summer dream.

Red Velvet Cake Ice Cream by Ben & Jerry's

I usually stick to something with chocolate in it, but I thought I would try something new. I wish I hadn't even looked at the Ben & Jerry's because now I just want to eat this new flavor for breakfast and lunch and dinner too. 

Pawsha and Koonsley usually get one or two little licks and occasionally they find the empty container in the recycling and help themselves to any tiny morsel that may have been left behind.

And the "Employee of the Month" Award goes to.....Koonsley!

Not only does Koonsley work for free, but he makes sure that the 4 legged workers get their fair share of belly rubs and chicken treats. He is always willing to jump in the sewing seat and make sure each clutch passes the Wheaten Inspection of Quality and Originality. He says, "these clutches made by j&em are one of a kind!"

Not sure if...
     Pawsha was trying to teach Brad how to fish (you just dive in the water and bite into them with your canines).
-or-
      If Brad was trying to teach Pawsha how it's done (the right kind of lure...or if that doesn't work...a different lure...and then another different lure).

Our most recent visitors have probably been one of the dogs' faves! Brad's niece and nephew came (with their parents) to visit for the weekend and let's just say it was non-stop action.
Pawsha slept on the guest bed while they were here and one night when Alex was put to bed, Pawsha went in there to watch over him.
The pups had a great time playing chase and getting chased by the kids. They got stepped on, rolled over, and ears pulled and never complained...But they were sure sad when they left and our house was soooo quiet.
